New Blog!

This is the start of my new blog that focuses on diverse topics around Internet technology. I will most likely be writing about my own prototyping experiences, the Internet of Things, IPv6, Linux, issues with the basic Internet technology, wireless technology, standards, or some new research idea that is interesting.

For background, I'm mostly a protocol designer and implementation guy, drawing experience from hacking my network at home, working with various products and research projects at Ericsson, and my involvement in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).

At home I'm playing with sensor networks, home control, IPv6-only networks, and trying to understand the right way to design home networks. At Ericsson I'm working for research, focusing again on Internet of Things, IPv6, network architecture, cellular networking, and various small details that are important to our products. We also do a lot of prototyping. At the IETF I'm a member of the steering group, which has given me a wonderful opportunity to see many new ideas in their early development phase.
